A little about me
 |
I’m Larry Wayne, born in Chicago, vintage
’25.
Jazz was going strong then, but I didn’t know.
How could a nice white boy on the north side
know anything about those great black bands
on the south side? I really didn’t find out until
many years later and then—
I got hooked !
As a D.J in Houston, Texas, I
inherited a program
called "Dixie Downbeat", and that’s when I met
a few jazz notables including Jack Teagarden.

Today, I’m getting acquainted with some great jazz musicians in Sweden and
presenting them along with the wonderful artists from America’s twenties and
thirties.
My program—"Larry’s Jazztime" features Jazz at its best every Monday
night from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
